Angela started her career caring for children of many abilities and strengths and working with their caregivers to support positive growth and development for the family as a whole. She then worked as a Mental Health Outreach Support Worker for over six years. In 2008, Angela started working as a Child Protection Social Worker, and continued to work for the BC Government for over eight years, which included several hours of interviewing children. Angela currently works as a Mental Health and Substance Use Counsellor.
Angela and her husband have raised a family of four children, who are now young adults. They have welcomed other children into their home for varying periods of time.

Angela has a strong dedication and passion to support children to have their voices, thoughts and feelings heard, knowing that children can contribute to the decisions being made about their lives. Angela believes that when the input of children are brought forward, the children’s caregiver and/or parent(s) can make better decisions about the processes that impact their children.
