Fees: $800/first child, $300/each additional child
A Hear the Child Report can sometimes provide clarity in a process that can be complex and difficult. In conducting Hear the Child reports, I will take the time develop a safe and caring rapport with the child or youth before conducting a respectful initial interview, followed by another interview where I will review my report with the child to ensure accuracy.
I have been working with children, youth and families in the public sector for over 30 years in many different roles. As an educator, guidance counsellor and clinical counsellor, I understand the dynamics and complexities of family systems and have been working provide support and help navigate the education, mental health care and legal system for many families.
Through my graduate studies in Counselling Psychology and continuing profession education, I have specialized training in the following areas:
- Family Law
- Trauma Recovery
- Working with Youth who Experience Grief and Loss
- Conflict Resolution for Individuals and Families
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC (BC Association of Clinical Counsellors), and the owner of Clear Light Counselling, I work within a family systems framework and use a range of counselling modalities including trauma recovery, emotion-focused therapy and mindfulness.
