Candice is a psychotherapist/clinical counsellor with nearly 20 years of therapeutic experience working with children, youth, and families in both urban and rural communities in BC. Candice currently works in private practice providing family and relationship counselling to children/youth, adults, couples, and families. In addition to being a psychotherapist/clinical counsellor, Candice is also a former child protection worker and brings a strong understanding of child safety and wellness, as well as an understanding of intimate partner violence (IPV) and parental alienation to her work.

Candice operates from a trauma informed, child centered, and family systems perspective, bringing a deep understanding of the nuanced dynamics and challenges that families experience. In her nearly 2 decades of work with children, youth, and families Candice has worked with children/youth who have: experienced parental/caregiver substance use and/or mental health challenges, been exposed to intimate partner violence, experienced abuse (verbal, emotional, physical, sexual), experienced traumatic injury of a parent/caregiver, experienced traumatic loss of a parent/caregiver (death, incarceration, etc.), experienced armed conflict (war, terrorism), and those who have been a victim of violent crime.

Candice works on Salt Spring Island as well as Greater Victoria and other communities on southern Vancouver Island, as well as virtually across BC.
