Fees: $1,050 for one child; $875 for each additional child from the same family
Gisella La Madrid is a highly experienced clinical counsellor, specializing in helping children, youth and families navigate the complexities of separation and divorce. With over a decade of experience, Gisella offers empathetic understanding and practical support as clients navigate the changes in their family unit. Her extensive background in clinical psychology, coupled with specialized training in child and family counselling, equips Gisella to guide families towards cooperative and smooth transitions during these challenging times.
With parents, Gisella fosters an environment of mutual respect, helping clients develop effective communication, manage conflict, and develop comprehensive parenting plans. With children and youth, Gisella provides a safe and supportive environment that helps clients voice their needs, process their emotions, and develop effective coping strategies to facilitate a positive adaptation to their parents’ separation.
She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselling, a Synergetic Play Therapist, and is on the rosters of Collaborative Divorce Vancouver and the BC Hear the Child Society. She has a Bachelor of Clinical Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, and specialized training in dispute resolution methods and contemporary issues faced by families undergoing separation and divorce.
