Fees: $200 / hour and initial retainer ($1,000 one child, $1,500 2+ children)
Heather is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC), Psychotherapist, Associate Mediator with Mediate BC. providing support to individuals, families, children and youth. Heather has a BSW and a MA in Counselling Psychology with hundreds of hours directly working with children and youth. After 10 years working as a Social Worker Heather has transitioned to private practice and is the founder and owner of Grit & Growth Therapeutics Solutions Ltd., providing counselling, mediation, clinical assessments and services to families and individuals with a focus on relationships using trauma-informed and attachment-focused modalities. Her extensive work with children and families gives her invaluable skills interviewing children.
Heather’s strength is in her special ability to establish strong connections with youth and children enabling her to conduct effective and detailed reports for families, caregivers and decision-makers. In addition, as a divorced woman and mother of three teenage children, Heather has lived-experience which further informs her understanding of the complex dynamics inherent in the context of divorce and separation and within relationship dynamics giving her a profound sense of empathy and understanding for the families she serves.
