Nikki Charlton is a partner at Farris LLP, where she has been practicing exclusively in the area of family law for over 15 years. Nikki offers services from either a collaborative or a litigation approach, depending on the needs of her clients. She is also a Parenting Coordinator, and regularly interviews children during the course of her appointment. Nikki has been appointed by the Supreme Court of British Columbia to convey the views of children in high-conflict cases. She is also a regular course chair and presenter at Family Law Continuing Legal Education conferences and seminars, including most recently the 2019 Bi-Annual Family Law Conference, A Deeper Dive: The Intersection of Family Law and Psychology 2019, and Hot Topics in Family Law Part II: Good Lawyering for Bad Parenting 2019.
Nikki believes hearing from children going through separation and divorce can be beneficial to their parents, and help reduce conflict during a very difficult time. She is committed to assisting parents, judges, and arbitrators make decisions that are in the best interests of the child.
